  • Yoga for Absolute beginners: A 6 week introduction to yoga.

     Sunday  at 10.30am.

    Always wanted to start yoga but didn’t think you were bendy enough ? Or thin enough? Or young enough? Or owned enough Lycra? Or are you just freaked out by the thought of it all? I hear you. I was you. So – this brand new course is FOR YOU! It’s a totally un-scary introduction to yoga, in quite possibly the friendliest gang you could find. Together we’ll discover what yoga is (and what it isn’t. Spoiler: it’s not just about having long hamstrings) and you’ll get a thorough introduction into the physical stuff and the mind stuff, and learn how to feel better off the yoga mat and on it.

  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Liz Michie

    Tuesday evenings: 19.45 – 21.00.

    Liz is known for guiding students through a friendly energetic practice, her classes are challenging yet very accessible providing a nice balance of strength and playfulness. The class will give you the chance to connect to your breath, slow down, get out of your head and into your body! She will take you to new depths leaving you feeling empowered and filled with positive energy.

    Liz teaches a dynamic, vinyasa based style following a well-balanced sequence structure. Liz trained with Dylan Ayaloo at Hot Power Yoga. Liz’s classes are suitable for all levels.

  • Iyengar Yoga for All with Poppy Pickles

    This Iyengar yoga class is for everyone who would like to try yoga, but doesn’t think it’s for them.  Iyengar yoga is truly ‘yoga for all’.  Through the use of props, focus on alignment and precise instructions, you will learn to truly inhabit your body, as it becomes gradually straighter, stronger and leaner. Poppy is a Level 2 Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, teaching in and around South East London. She got into yoga as a way to survive motherhood and has now found that yoga has got into her.

  • Hatha Power Yoga with Damian Mroczek

    Wednesday Eves 19.00-20.30

    Damian became inspired by Yoga in Thailand in 2014.  He started daily practice of Hatha yoga and yogic breathing techniquess and began to experience the benefits that yoga has to offer in improving physical and mental wellbeing. Damian furthered his yoga training in India and completed his  Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training with Vijay Amar at Universal Yoga. Damian’s practice and teaching focuses towards longevity, endurance, mobility and deep stretch so the pose can be explored more deeply, connecting breathing with the movement. Damian aims to share his passion for yoga through his teaching, bringing his knowledge and experience onto the mat.

  • Hatha Flow Yoga with Marcela Bonatto

    In this class we will explore the connection between breath and movement, body and mind. Building strength, flexibility, balance and having fun! Be prepared for creative Sun Salutations, challenging asanas, pranayama and relaxation.

    Marcela is a 500 hours Certified Yoga Alliance teacher. She studied in the Indian Himalayas, and has spent time with the Tibetan community in Dharamsala deepening her studies in Buddhism. Marcela believes that attention to alignment is key to a safe and beneficial Yoga practice.

    Learning Reiki is a journey towards spiritual awakening. By connecting to the universal energy, you can begin to feel the underlying web that is woven through all existence, heal your life, and understand the deepest nature of your True Self. Embarking on a journeyof healing for ourselves has a profound ripple effect to the world around us. A Reiki attunement has a way of creating powerful change while awakening us to our soul’s wise inner light. It can help to shift anything that feels stuck, as we return to harmony and get back into flow.

    These courses combine the spiritual with the practical – the healing with the awakening, from both the Western and the traditional Japanese lineages. It is a powerful complimentary therapy as well as a deeply enriching spiritual practice.

    Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 are taught over 2 days to groups of no more than 12 people.

    Reiki 1: The first degree wakes up your inner healer, and serves as an activation to harness greater spiritual energies within. The focus is on Self- Healing, opening and clearing the enrgy channels, and learning how to connect to the Universal Energy. The two day course offers four attunements to begin the flow of healing energy.

    Reiki 2 : The second degree deepens your connection to Reiki and provides creative tools for its application. This level greatly increases the flow of energy through the body while we focus on the aspects of spiritual growth and intuitive development. Reiki 2 is known as the Practitoner level as it enables you to open your own Reiki Practice upon completion, or to work in aProffessional capacity volunteering within charities and hospices.

  • Pilates with Diane Aben

    Pilates can be taught to all and may be tailored to the individual. It reconditions the fragile and the injured or challenges the fittest. Pilates helps us reconnect body and mind; to realign and keep us strong. Classes are dynamic and highly rewarding, sometimes incorporating small Pilates equipment. Dianes classes are mixed, with an enthusiastic male following.

    Diane has been teaching Pilates since certifying in Body Control Pilates in 2005 and is a highly experienced teacher. The seated class on Friday at 13.00 is for people who are less able to work on a mat. For example an elder person or someone with an injury. Please call Diane for more information.

A mixture of movement and stillness, challenge and rest, of keeping up and letting go, sound and silence will lead us deep within. Each class has a specific theme and will be unique to the day.     Anna has trained with the Amrit Nam Sarovar School in France. She teaches from a place of deep calmness, joy, creativity and love. Her aim is to support and guide you in your own journey of transformation and self-love.

    This pregnancy yoga class is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience. Yoga can help women enjoy their pregnancy with minimal discomfort, cultivate breath awareness and strengthen the body in preparation for labour. Yoga also offers you the opportunity to connect with your baby, and coming to classes is a great way to feel part of a community of pregnant women.

    Liz teaches pre and post-natal yoga. Passionate about yoga as the perfect way to grow stronger, more flexible and resilient, both on and off the mat, Liz creates a friendly, relaxed and welcoming class that will help build strength, flexibility, and re-balance body and mind.

    Gabrielle's yoga class is aimed to help you develop strength and fluidity, feel a healthy and natural alignment of your spine and whole body, and find more freedom and ease within yourself. Yoga enhances a deeper connection to the breath through practice. This generates an inner clarity and vital calm. These classes are open to all. Explore simple and also more complex poses, with attention on developing greater body awareness and finding lightness and space within your yoga practice. Gabrielle has trained in the Scaravelli Inspired approach and with Yoga Elder Sama Fabian. Gabrielle is our most experienced yoga teacher.   • Yoga for Mothers with Chloe George

    Monday Evenings: 20.15- 21.15.

    This class is aimed at mothers who are looking for some much-needed headspace and a yoga practice with a friendly group of local mothers, whether you’re new to yoga or coming back to it postnatally. You’ll experience rejuvenating yoga to strengthen your body and calm your mind, with more restorative poses and relaxation at the end.

    Chloe is a 200 hours registered Yoga Alliance teacher and a certified Birthlight Postnatal Yoga Teacher, and started Stretched Mums Yoga in 2016. She teaches yoga with an emphasis on breath awareness and being present in your body, and loves teaching mums in the amazing community of Crystal Palace. Meg went to her first yoga class over 15 years ago because she wanted arms like Madonna’s. She is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher, with over 800 hours of training under her yoga belt, and is the founder of Real Life Yoga; a movement to help people find ways to bring yoga into their real lives. She writes a monthly column for Om Yoga Magazine and still doesn’t have arms like Madonna!

    After a hectic season of celebrations and socialising it’s important to hit our reset button to start the new year refreshed and recharged. This workshop will allow us to make time for and re-establish inner space for ourselves by applying mindfulness to our habits in 2019 in an accessible and relevant way. Come along and engage in simple mindfulness meditation practices and leave with reduced stress levels, increased calmness and clarity, resources to maintain your mindfulness practice and a raised awareness of how to incorporate it into daily life.
